What We Do

The Lonah Maiko Foundation is dedicated to creating lasting change in communities through integrated development programs across education, health, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).

Healthcare Initiatives
Healthcare Initiatives
Community health initiatives in rural and hard-to-reach areas are designed to address gaps caused by distance, limited infrastructure, health-worker shortages, and poverty. These initiatives focus on bringing healthcare closer to communities, improving disease prevention, and empowering local populations to take charge of their own health. This involves a wide range of activities such as health education, mobile clinics, CHW training, nutrition programs, WASH improvements, and disease-specific interventions. These programs address challenges like limited access to healthcare, high disease burden, and poverty-driven health disparities.
Student Sponsorship
Student Sponsorship
Our Student Sponsorship Program is designed to support vulnerable learners who face financial and social barriers that threaten their education. By providing school fees, uniforms, learning materials, and mentorship, we help students remain in school and stay focused on their academic goals. Each sponsorship is a lifeline that restores hope, stability, and opportunity for children who would otherwise be left behind. Through close collaboration with schools, families, and community leaders, we ensure that every sponsored learner receives holistic support—empowering them to pursue their dreams and build a stronger future for themselves and their communities.
Community Empowerment
Community Empowerment
Our Community Empowerment Program strengthens families and local groups by equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities they need to improve their own livelihoods. Through training, capacity building, awareness campaigns, and collaborative projects, we help communities develop practical solutions to the challenges they face in education, health, and daily living. By encouraging participation, leadership, and shared responsibility, we create an environment where people can take charge of their growth and well-being. This approach ensures long-lasting impact, builds resilience, and fosters a united community committed to creating a better future for all.
Strategic Partnerships
Strategic Partnerships
Our Strategic Partnerships Program focuses on building strong, meaningful collaborations that expand our impact and strengthen community development. By working closely with schools, health facilities, government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners, we align shared goals and pool resources to address critical needs in Education, Health, and WASH. These partnerships allow us to implement larger, more sustainable initiatives that reach more families and deliver long-term results. Through transparency, shared responsibility, and mutual commitment, we create powerful alliances that drive positive change, enhance service delivery, and support the growth of resilient, empowered communities.
